My name is Beth Amerto. I am excited to start the 2017-18 school year with you! I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University (Go Bears!) in the spring of 2013 with a degree in Middle Grades Education. Upon graduating, I taught in Durham Public Schools for three years, before deciding to return back to Catawba County. This will be my second year at NCMS.
In my classroom, we will spend 90% of our time in groups. We will learn how to work and communicate our thoughts and ideas with others, and learn important concepts for 7th grade math. Students will be regularly assessed on what they are learning in my classroom, so that not only they can see what they need to improve on, but how I can better serve you and your needs.
Please refer to our homework website (tab to the right) as I will update it with any assignments that should be completed at home. *Note: There will not be a ton of required homework in my class. Most homework will be unfinished class assignments, or studying for weekly assessments.*
Feel free to email me with any comments/questions/concerns you may have using the button to the right.
I look forward to a great year!
