Welcome 7th Graders to team Nighthawk!
My name is Chasity Bolch. I teach 7th grade science and math on the Nighthawk team. In college, I studied and fell in love with middle school education. I achieved my Bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University in 2008 and my master's degree from Gardner-Webb University in 2013. I have earned National Board Certification in early adolescent science. This is my 12th year teaching. I am also coach of the Science Olympiad team.
In our class, we will often work in groups, learning through collaboration. Mrs. Bolch loves for both her math and science class to involve learning through hands-on activities and experience. This year, we are also using personalized pathways to ensure each child is getting the math instruction they need relative to our content area.
In math, students will have a weekly homework assignment. They will get the assignment on Monday and it will be due on Friday. Mrs. Bolch will have time during the day to answer questions and check the work.
Parents- If you ever have questions, please feel free to e-mail me or contact me through classtag! I promise to do my best getting back to you quickly!
Students- Please don't be afraid to ask me questions in class. This is how we grow as learners! If you don't want to ask in front of the whole class, there will be plenty of time as I walk around monitoring group work or work with small groups of children also. If you have a question it's likely another student is thinking the same thing. Help us learn together!
I'm looking forward to a great year at Newton-Conover Middle on the best team!
