This is a reminder that there is no school for students on Monday, March 16.
Quarter 3 Report Cards will go home on Wednesday. Parents, if you have any questions about your child’s progress, please reach out to their teachers.
Quarter 4 begins on Tuesday, March 17. Please encourage your child to stay on top of their grades and assignments and work hard to wrap up the school year on a positive note.
This Thursday, our Battle of the Books team will compete in the Regional Competition. We want to wish the students participating in this event the best of luck.
Make sure to mark your calendars to come watch Discovery High School and Newton-Conover Middle School's production of "Mean Girls: High School Version" on Friday, March 20 @ 7 PM, Saturday, March 21 @ 2 PM and & 7 PM, and Sunday, March 22 @ 2 PM in the NCMS Auditorium. Tickets will be $10 and sold at the door! Please be advised that if you plan to bring younger children, this show is a little more mature and will include some PG-13 jokes. We hope to see you there!

8th grade students were visited by Newton-Conover High School and NCHS JROTC today. Thank you to NCHS and the NJROTC for visiting, answering our questions, and getting our 8th graders excited for high school!

Parents, we have a mountain of lost-and-found items collected over the last two months. Please encourage your child to stop by the Lost and Found if they are missing anything and claim their items.
This Thursday, we will recognize our spring Honor Card recipients. We will have our 6th-grade ceremony at 8 a.m. in the Auditorium. Parents, you are welcome to attend the event. Doors will open at 7:45 for you to enter the building.
Our 7th and 8th-grade Honor Card Ceremony will take place at 9:30. Parents will be allowed to enter the building at 9:15 a.m.
This week is Career and Technical Education Spirit Week! N-CMS offers several CTE courses that students will take throughout their middle school career to help prepare them for potential career pathways in high school. Monday is wear a college or military shirt. Tuesday is “Your Future is Bright,” so wear bright colors. Wednesday is dress like your favorite CTE teacher. Thursday is “Your Career Begins Here,” so wear your Red Devil spirit gear, and Friday is “Wear a Hat of Your Future Career, College, or Military.”

Parents, this is a reminder that Monday, February 16, is a weather makeup day for students.
Progress Reports went home this past Friday. Students should be reminded to submit any missing work and assignments from the Remote Learning Days by February 20. Please contact your child’s teachers if you have any questions about their academic progress.
The Scholastic Book Fair will continue this week through Tuesday for any student that would like to purchase items.
On Tuesday, students who earned Perfect Attendance for quarter 2 will have a reward time during RDT. On Friday, 8th-grade students who qualified for our academic reward will go to Pin Station.
