Congratulations to Mr. Escamilla and 15 of our band students who were selected for the All-County Band. N-CMS represents 21% of the students selected for this honor. 3 students were selected as 1st place honors.
Makeup Picture Day – November 7
There will be no paper flyers or order forms for this event. After picture day, proofs will be sent home. Parents can then go online and use their child’s Personal Photo Key (previously called the Shoot Key) to order pictures.
Progress Reports will go home on November 13th. Parents, please encourage your child to stay on top of submitting their assignments on time. If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please contact their teachers.

Halloween Dance
🎃 The last day to purchase tickets for our Halloween Dance is October 29th.
Cost: $5
When: During the school day
Students on the No Activity List will not be allowed to attend, so please make sure you’re eligible to join in the fun!

Thank you to all our families who attended our English as a Second Language family night this past week.
Also, a big thank you to the parents and students who attended our Report Card Pickup day this past Friday. Students who were unable to attend will have their report cards sent home with them on Monday. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress, please contact their teachers. This is a reminder that, to participate in sports and extracurricular activities, students must not fail more than one Core or EA class each quarter.
This upcoming Wednesday, we will be recognizing National Bullying Prevention Month. As an outward sign to promote bullying prevention and unity, we encourage everyone to wear orange.
N-CMS will hold a Dance on Friday, October 31st. This will take place at the end of the school day. The price to attend the dance is $5, and tickets will be available for purchase starting. Wednesday, October 22, during HR. This event will conclude our Spirit Week activities. Spirit Week events will be posted on our website and Facebook page.

Parents, you can drop in at the school between 8:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and between 12:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. to pick up your child’s report card and meet with teachers. This is a drop-in format, but you are also welcome to schedule a meeting with teachers on this day.
Our fall Scholastic book fair will be held from October 13 to 17. Parents, you will have an opportunity to stop by the Book Fair during our Report Card Pickup event.

The next recipient of the Hammer Award goes to Sophia H. Her positive attitude, teamwork, and dedication have inspired her teammates and classmates alike. Whether on the sidelines or in the classroom, she brings energy, kindness, and enthusiasm to every single practice and game.
Sophia also excels academically, earning Gold Honor Card status for maintaining an average above 90 in all her subject areas. She continues to make a strong impact both on and off the field each week.

Good Morning Red Devils,
This year, in an effort to recognize the hard work and dedication of our student athletes, we are continuing a weekly honor: The Hammer Award. This award celebrates athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. Each recipient receives a T-shirt and is featured in a recognition post highlighting their accomplishments.
This week's winner is Caleb H.
Caleb had an incredible week on the football field, putting on a dominant performance in the game against Grandview. He was responsible for five total touchdowns, showcasing his versatility and athleticism. Caleb threw for three touchdowns, rushed for one, and even caught a touchdown pass, proving he's a true all-around athlete.
Beyond his contributions on the field, Caleb is a dedicated student and a strong leader. He sets a great example both in competition and in the classroom. So far this year, he has earned straight A's in all his classes and is a proud Gold Honor Card recipient.
Caleb’s hard work, discipline, and leadership make him a standout both on and off the field. Keep it up, Caleb!

Ella has had a very impressive season in her first year on the cross country team. She has pushed herself in practice, often choosing to run extra laps and train with teammates in higher grade levels. Her dedication has helped her come very close to a top ten finish in her very first season. Ella also brings an enthusiastic attitude to practice every day, lifting the spirits of those around her. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she has started the year with excellent grades in the classroom. Ella has a great attitude and is always willing to help her classmates.
