This week's "Da Bomb" recipient is Mrs. Kiser!!

Three of the 7th grade science classes have been making single celled organisms with playdough. Here are some examples of their finished work. Ms. Clark & Mrs. Lyndon have done a great job of making science engaging!

8th Grade ELA students brainstormed important events in their lives, chose 1 event, and then shrunk it down into 6 words with meaning creating a 6 word memoir. They then designed their notecards based on their writing. What a fun way to dress up the hallway!

Good Afternoon Red Devils,
This year, in an effort to recognize the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, we are continuing a weekly honor: “The Hammer Award.” This award celebrates athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. Each recipient receives a T-shirt and is featured in a recognition post highlighting their accomplishments.
This week’s winner is Thaxton T.!
Thaxton is a dedicated player who made a huge impact on the team this week. He led the team with two goals in the win over Grandview and showed his versatility by playing both midfield and defense against Jacobs Fork to help secure another victory. His effort, leadership, and determination were key to his team’s success.
Thaxton also excels in the classroom, maintaining all A’s and serving as a leader among his peers.
Congratulations, Thaxton!

8th Grade Social Studies students have been working hard identifying and researching NC symbols. Students were then able to dig deeper with the book “T is for Tarheel” all about the ABCs of NC, identify key aspects of the text for their assigned letter, and create a visual representation of what they read with a 3d aspect. Here are a few of the finished products.
