We are excited to welcome back our N-CMS Red Devils and greet our new students as we kick off the school year on Monday, August 25!
⏰ Arrival & Start Time
Doors open: 7:10 a.m. (no supervision before this time, so students are not permitted to be dropped off before 7:10 a.m.)
School starts: 7:40 a.m.
Students must be in Homeroom by 7:40 a.m. to avoid being marked tardy.
Tardy policy begins September 8 and resets each quarter.
🚗 Car Riders
Expect heavy traffic on County Home Rd. the first week.
Please stay in your car — no walking students to the door.
The drop-off line will move quicker as routines are learned.
🚌 Bus Riders
Buses may be early or late this first week.
Be at the stop 15 minutes early and allow up to 15 minutes delay.
Staff will help students with PM bus info on the first day.
🚶♂️ Walkers
Must have a walker pass on file (sent home the first day).
The pass must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned.
🥞 Free Meals
All students receive free breakfast and lunch this year.
No application needed!
🏃♂️ Athletics
Boys Soccer Tryouts: August 25–27, 3–5 p.m.
Cross Country Tryouts: August 27–28, after school.
Students must have a current sports physical and meet eligibility requirements.
🗓️ Important Date
No school on Monday, September 1, for the Labor Day Holiday.

During the initial rollout of the new online student registration system, Infinite Campus, a technical issue caused some responses to be omitted from the form. To ensure we have complete and accurate information, we need all parents/guardians to complete the updated registration form linked below as soon as possible.

Open House Bus Information
Parents/Guardians of returning bus riders, if your child rode the bus last year and you are still residing at the same address :
✅ You may go meet your bus driver in the cafeteria.
✅ No need to stand in line at the New Bus Rider Information Table.
👉 If your child needs a bus for the first time or has a change of address, please go to the gym to complete the registration process.

N-CMS will host an Open House on August 20th, 3 pm. - 6 p.m.
6th-grade at 3 p.m.
7th-grade at 4 p.m.
8th-grade at 5 p.m.
There will be an OPTIONAL parent meeting for any 6th-grade or new students to N-CMS @ 2 p.m. in the auditorium.
We are one week away from Open House!
Returning N-CCS student registration has been sent out by the district and the new state student database system, Infinite Campus. Please create your NEW Parent Portal account using the unique link emailed to the primary email address the district has on file for your student. You will also need to register your child as a returning student to the district.
The Catawba County Health Department is holding immunization clinics for those needing back-to-school vaccinations or updated shots. Please see the included flyer for sign-up information .
