NCMS hosted a Technology CTE Camp last week for select rising 6th graders. These students learned about the careers of CNC Manufacturing and Construction Trades this week, including the education needed to work within these trades. The students had a fun-filled week with hands-on activities learning how to read a measuring tape through a spitball contest. On the second day, we learned about energy sources and built solar cars that we raced around the courtyard. Our last trade activity was dedicated to teaching Computer Coding for the students to play a game of golf using our Spheros Coding Balls. The week ended with a field trip to Manufacturing Solutions Center, in Conover, with Tony Whitener & Jeff Neuville, to see the various functions that the company provides. Thank you to all of the MSC for your willingness for our students to tour your building and explore potential future careers with our newest Red Devils this past week.
