Good evening, N-CMS Red Devily Family!
Here are your announcements for the week of September 30-October 4, 2024.
Parents, I want to thank you for your flexibility and understanding this past Thursday during our early release. We were able to get all students home safely and get ahead of any potential flooding due to the rain and Lyle Creek overflowing on County Home Rd. Thank you for your understanding and help.
There will be no school for students on Monday, September 30, 2024, due to power being out for many of our families across the county and hazardous conditions on some roads that are still being cleared by emergency crews. At this time, no decision has been made about whether we will have school on Tuesday. Stay tuned for updates.
Progress reports should have made it home on Thursday. If you did not receive your child’s progress reports, please ask them to see them, or you can reach out to your child’s teachers if you need another copy. Students have until Friday to turn in any missing assignments on their progress report. Any assignments not turned in by Friday will be marked as a “0”. Please encourage your child to get their assignments submitted.
We are still taking donations if there are any parents, businesses, or community partners who would like to contribute to our PBIS store. We are seeking small items and gifts that students would like as rewards. We will also accept monetary donations if you would like to contribute in that manner.
Please remind your child to charge their Chromebook each night. Students should not bring chargers to school.
Parents - in the past, the N-CMS cafeteria has given change back to students when requested from cash that has been brought in. As we are unsure if the cash requested back is from the parent's request, we will no longer be giving cash back to middle school students. If you should need cash back from money sent into the cafeteria, please send a signed note requesting the amount you would like returned to your student.'
In athletic news,
Our fall sports teams are having one of the best seasons in recent years. We are proud of our students and coaches for their hard work in exemplifying Red Devil Pride on and off the field of competition.
There will be no Cross Country meet on Monday. On Tuesday, Volleyball and Soccer will play at Arndt. On Wednesday, our football team will be in action at Jacobs Fork. On Thursday, Soccer and Volleyball will be away at Northview.
That is all for our weekly announcements. Have a great week!

This week’s “Da Bomb” selection chosen by Mrs. Walker is Amanda Crouch (8th Grade Science Teacher)
Ms. Crouch is absolutely phenomenal - a wonderful teammate, teacher, coach, and mom! She is willing to dive in and give her all in everything she is involved in. If anyone needs anything - whether it's a lending hand, encouragement, tech support, or creative solutions, she is there to help. Her ability to explain things in ways that relate to students' lives and implementation of hands-on activities has helped students solidify concepts in such a meaningful way. She always brings a sense of levity and humor to every situation and often brightens all of our days with humorous phrases. For all these reasons and many more, Ms. Crouch is "Da Bomb"!

This is a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, September 27. This is a workday for staff. Students will return to school on Monday, September 30.
Please be safe and have a great weekend.

Due to rising water in Lyle Creek and the school's proximity to the creek on County Home Rd. We are dismissing early today at 2:30 p.m. This is a precaution ahead of the next large band of heavy rain that is forecasted to come through our area and out of concern for the water levels of Lyle Creek.
Practices and games have been canceled for ALL sports teams.
Please be safe.

Update regarding after-school practices.
There will be no soccer, volleyball, cross country, and cheer practice today.
Football is planning to practice in the gym. If anything changes, we will communicate with you.
Please be safe.
