Good evening Red Devil Family! Here are your announcements for the week of November 28 through December 2, 2022.  We hope that everyone had a wonderful break. We are 3 ½ weeks away from the end of the second quarter. Progress reports went home right before the break. Students have until December 2 to make up any missing assignments. We encourage parents to reach out to their child’s teachers if they have questions about their performance thus far.  Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, all students will take the Reading and Math NC Check-In benchmark assessment. On Thursday, 8th grade will take the Science benchmark. These exams are given to determine students' understanding of current grade-level standards and help guide teachers’ instruction. We need students to get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, and come in ready to do their best.   This is a reminder that all students eat breakfast for free this year.  Our middle school band will have a winter concert on December 8. 6th grade will be at 6:30, 7th grade at 7:15, and 8th grade at 8.  In athletic news, our winter sports season starts this Tuesday. Our girl's and boys’ basketball teams will be at home on Tuesday to take on Arndt Middle School School. Both wrestling and basketball teams will take on Maiden Middle School on Thursday. Wrestling will be in action at home, and basketball will play away. The price of admission to all games is $5, and games start at 4 pm.  That is all for our weekly announcements. Have a great week.
