Good evening Red Devil Family and Happy New Year! We hope that everyone had a great holiday break.
The school year will resume on January 9th, and this is also the start of quarter 3. Quarter 2 report cards will go home this week on Tuesday. In addition to the report card, students will bring home their 1st round of NC Check-In results. NC Check-Ins are assessments that align with state standards and mimic End of Grade Tests. The results are used to identify how students are doing with covered content and standards. Please reach out to your childs’ teacher if you have any questions about their grades or NC Check-In results.
The Principals of Discovery, HCAM, and Challenger on Monday, January 9th will visit NCMS to meet with 8th-grade students. Students will have the opportunity to learn about what each school offers and how to apply. At this time, the respective schools do not have a parent meeting scheduled. If and when that is scheduled, we will share this information with everyone.

Students in Ms. Jolly's classes earned "money" in order to "buy" presents for their family members. They enjoyed shopping and wrapping gifts. These gifts and wrapping accessories were donated graciously by the Hickory Elks Lodge, Community Outreach Coordinator, Heather Bain, N-CCS central office staff, and NCMS staff. #groundedandgrowing
