This year, N-CMS has updated its water bottle and aerosol spray policy. Students must have a clear container and must only carry water around the building. Please see the attached image for examples of approved container styles.
Students will be prohibited from spraying perfumes and aerosol sprays at their lockers, on school buses, in classrooms, and in restrooms this year. Students who are taking PE may put on deodorant. Otherwise, students should not spray any aerosol sprays in the building.
Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions. This information will be reviewed with your child during the first week of school.

The PowerSchool RETURNING student notification has been sent to your RETURNING student's primary contact email. A hyperlink to complete registration is embedded in the email along with the security snapcode (for InfoSnap). Please look for that email in your inbox. Do not complete the NEW student registration. This is reserved for students who are new to the district.
However, I have received a few messages that families are having difficulty submitting their RETURNING student's information due to a glitch in the Technology Acceptable Use Policy. So, the district has put in a ticket with PowerSchool Infosnap to try to get that fixed this morning. Therefore, I would recommend waiting at least 24 hours before completing your child's InfoSnap (and start on Tuesday, July 23rd). You have until August 9th to complete the registration.
Thank you for your patience!
Student Registration forms for the 2024-2025 school are scheduled to go out on July 19 to all Newton-Conover City School students who attended a school in the district last school year. All parents/guardians must complete the PowerSchool Registration for their child in order for them to start school on August 26. This year's registration form will be sent via email by Newton-Conover City Schools and PowerSchool Registration.
This must be completed prior to August 12 to ensure your child has a schedule for Open House and before we can place them on a school bus route for the year. Registration must also be completed before students receive a Chromebook device and before they can participate in athletics this year.
If you have changed email addresses OR no longer use the email account you used last year to receive the registration email or correspondence from the school, please reach out to let us know of any changes. You may call the school between the school between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. (828) 464-4221.
Please remember that you must provide updated proof of residency if you have moved since the conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year. If you have any questions, please contact Paige Smith, Data Manager at N-CMS. 828-464-4221. Have a great evening.
