

Good evening, N-CMS Red Devil Family! Here are your announcements for the week of February 16-20, 2026.
Parents, this is a reminder that Monday, February 16, is a weather makeup day for students.
Progress Reports went home this past Friday. Students should be reminded to submit any missing work and assignments from the Remote Learning Days by February 20. Please contact your child’s teachers if you have any questions about their academic progress.
The Scholastic Book Fair will continue this week through Tuesday for any student that would like to purchase items.
On Tuesday, students who earned Perfect Attendance for quarter 2 will have a reward time during RDT. On Friday, 8th-grade students who qualified for our academic reward will go to Pin Station.
In Athletic News
Baseball and Softball tryouts will take place starting on Monday, February 16th, right after school until 5:30 p.m.
Golf and Girls Soccer tryouts will start on Tuesday, February 17, right after school until 5:30 p.m.
Students must have a current sports physical on file and be eligible to participate in order to try out.

Welcome back, parents and students. We know the last two weeks have been challenging as Mother Nature has disrupted our school schedule. We are ready to get back to routines and are glad to have students back in the building.
Please note that Friday, February 13th, and Monday, February 16th, will now be instructional days for students.
Progress Reports will go home on Friday. Students should be reminded to turn in their work and assignments from the Remote Learning Days. The deadline to submit these assignments is February 20th.
The Scholastic Book Fair will run this week. Students will have opportunities to visit the fair and purchase items.
Our 6th and 7th grade students who qualified for our academic reward will be traveling to Pin Station this week. 6th grade will go on Tuesday, and 7th grade will go on Wednesday. 8th-grade students will go on February 20th.

Today we recognize Susan Ramsey for her efforts and dedication in teaching students to utilize tools for safety in construction, but also in engineering designs!

Car Riders may enter the building starting at 10:10 a.m. School officially starts at 10:40 a.m. Parents, please do not drop students off before 10:10 a.m., as staff will not be available to supervise due to also being on a delay. We want to ensure students' safety.
If your child rides the bus, please adjust the time they usually arrive at their bus stop by 3 hours.

With all of the inclement weather we have faced over the last 2 weeks, it is necessary that we make up the hours of instruction missed on February 4th, therefore, February 13th will now become a school day for students and staff.

Today we recognize Torry Loftin for her hard work and dedication to guiding students in future career opportunities!

Despite diligent efforts by numerous operations, secondary roads and some areas of school campuses remain unsafe, preventing normal operations. Additionally, all Kid Connection sites will be closed.
