The 7th grade will attend next week. Students could not fail more than 2 classes in order to qualify. We look forward to celebrating with our students.  In athletic news; Monday, November 7th is the first official day of tryouts for basketball. Girls' basketball will be right after school in the gym. The 7th and 8th Boys will need to be back at school for tryouts at 4:45 in the afternoon. 6th-grade Boys will try out on Tuesday, November 8th at 4:45. They are not allowed to stay on campus until tryouts begin.  There will be a parent meeting on Thursday at 5:15 pm for all winter sports athletes. This is a required meeting that parents must attend in order for athletes to participate in sports.  That is all for our weekly announcements. Have a wonderful week!

Thanks to all students and families who made our NCMS Book Fair a huge hit! Students got new books in their hands and our school earned more new books. It's a win for everyone. This year's Book Fair theme was everyone's favorite scary storytelling series, Goosebumps. Students and teachers were involved in daily trivia, searching for clues, and even creating displays for our library. Thanks to Mrs. Lewis for organizing another fun school-wide event behind literacy! Here are Mrs. Duncan's 6th graders creating a scene from their favorite Goosebumps book.
